Detroit Zoo announces death of miniature donkey named Giovanni
ROYAL OAK, Mich. (FOX 2) - A miniature donkey who has been at the Detroit Zoo for 27 years has died.
The zoo announced the passing of Giovanni on Monday.
The zoo described Gio as a "caring and faithful companion" to a female donkey named Knick-Knack.
Staff also remembered him as a friendly animal who would greet staff with a bray each morning.
