'Devil's Night: Dawn of the Nain Rouge' filming in Lake Orion

LAKE ORION, Mich. (WJBK) - The legend of Detroit's Nain Rouge is hitting the big screen.

The Nain Rouge, French for "red dwarf", is a creature said to haunt the area in and around Detroit. Its mystery will be the focus of a new movie filming right here in the metro area.

Devil's Night: Dawn of the Nain Rouge is currently filming in Lake Orion. Its filming is utilizing the talent of several Michiganders. Lake Orion Police Chief Jerry Narsh even gets to play the police chief in the movie.

Amy Andrews will also be in the movie, playing the mayor of Lake Orion.

Amy shared some photos and videos from the set on her Instagram page, which you can see below. 

"Devil's Night: Dawn of the Nain Rouge" is being produced in participation with Kyyba Films, a division of Farmington Hills, Mich.-based Kyyba, Inc. Collaborating on the project is Co-Executive Producer Tel Ganesan, Kyyba’s Chairman of the Board, who pursued this film in order to help provide jobs in metropolitan Detroit and also to rebuild excitement for filmmaking in Michigan.

We don't know much about the plot of the movie yet, but the scenes including Amy Andrews appear to be of a protest. People are seen yelling and holding signs that read, "Tell us the truth!"; "Save our town"; and "Be nice to the Nain Rouge."

In the video Amy posted, she's seen getting out of a car amid the protests and telling everyone to calm down.
