The people have spoken and Republican Donald Trump has been elected 45th President of the United States.
President-elect Trump was elected by the Electoral College by picking up 270 votes. In the early hours of Wednesday morning, Trump picked up Pennsylvania and then Wisconsin to secure 276 votes and the nomination.

Trump spoke of optimism for the country in his acceptance speech at just before 3 a.m. EST.
"There is so much untapped potential with this great nation," he said. "Everyone in this country will have a chance to live up to their potential.
"America will no longer settle for anything less than the best."
He thanked his family and commented about the political fierce political campaign.
"This political stuff is nasty and it's tough," he said.
Trump also said that Hillary Clinton called to concede earlier this morning. He said that "we all" owe Clinton thanks for her service to the country over the years."
Trump also won Georgia, Wisconsin, Iowa, Utah, Idaho, North Carolina, Montana, Louisiana, Texas, Wyoming, Arkansas, Alabama, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, West Virginia, South Carolina, Kentucky and Indiana.
Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton has won Maine, Nevada, Oregon, California, Hawaii, Colorado, Virginia, New Mexico, New York, Vermont, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey and Rhode Island.
