DETROIT - Two men gunned down, both shot multiple times on Detroit's west side and neighbors are afraid for their own safety.
"About 13 gunshots," said neighbor Wanda Perez. "As soon as the first one, I jumped out of the bed and it was like pop, pop, pop."
Residents in the 12900 block of Blackstone say they woke up to the frightening sounds of gunshots just before 4 a.m. Saturday. When police arrived to the block they say they found two men in their 20s who were shot dead.
"I got up and looked out the window and we saw a white Buick and a black car," Perez said. "And they went down there and stopped."
"Right after you heard the shots you heard a car speed off," said a witness who did not want to be identified, adding that police searched her house for clues.
Police say before those fatal shots were fired, one of the victims was spotted on surveillance at a nearby gas station.
On camera you can see him leave the gas station and then get inside his car. That was when police say he was approached by the suspect who gets out of a newer model white Buick.
The suspect then got into the vehicle with both victims and drove away while being followed by the white Buick.
Detroit police were in the neighborhood where the bodies were found Monday afternoon, patrolling the area.
