Wayne State employee hit, killed on Woodward in Detroit's Midtown

A person was hit and killed after a crash forced a vehicle into them on Woodward Avenue in Detroit on Wednesday morning.

According to Detroit police, two vehicles collided at Woodward and Warren in Midtown around 8:40 a.m. One of the vehicles involved then struck a pedestrian, who was killed.

"All of the sudden the impact of the cars hit. And the gentleman was standing there, he went airborne and fell down. And that terrified me because I could do nothing but cry because that was somebody’s father, brother, whoever, family member," said witness Paula White.
