As of 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, DTE Energy has restored power to 255,000 of the 390,000 customers impacted by the ice storm that hit Southeast Michigan on Sunday.

Customers can use the DTE Energy mobile app, or visit dteenergy.com, to get a restoration estimate for their address.

Nearly 50 percent of schools that lost power in the ice storm were restored Monday. Power is expected to be restored to the remaining schools restored by end of day Tuesday. DTE also says they hope to have 90 percent of power restored to those effected by the end of the day Tuesday.

DTE had over 1,000 workers in the field helping to restore customers Monday, along with 400 workers from four other states - Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. An additional 200 workers are scheduled to join restoration efforts Tuesday morning.
