Two cousins murdered, their bodies left lying in the street.

A family putting out a plea to their loves ones killer after two men in their family were shot and killed on Detroit's east side in October.

"We didn't lose one we lost two to something so senseless," said Bonita Long, a cousin of the victims. "They can't come back it's not fair, it's not fair that we have to go through this."

The victims were 37-year-old Albert Journey and 33-year-old Broderick Long. They were together at home on Forest Street near Cooper just south of Warren Avenue when they were gunned down.

Long's mother, Pearlie Davis, says the family has been shattered ever since.

"I just cannot speak, I'm at a loss," she said. "It's like I'm walking in a daze every day because I don't have my son."

They're coming together with the help of Crime Stoppers offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest in connection to the double murder.

"To take those two lives senseless," Davis said. "The person who did this was just heartless."

Broderick's birthday would have been December 24th - his mother's Christmas baby. She can't have her son back but she is asking for justice.

"I thank God for the 32 years and 10 months, four days that he gave me with him," Davis said. "But for you to take two lives, someone knows something."
