The shooting happened outside a business on Winder Street, near Orleans Street. Police on scene told FOX 2 a person was fatally shot by a delivery driver.

Police said the driver got into a scuffle with one of the suspects who was armed with a box cotter.  The owner of the meat company, who is a CPL holder, fired a fatal shot at the suspect.

The driver suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, non fatal. DPD does not know at this point how the driver got that wound. The second suspect got away, and police do not know if he was armed with a gun.

The meat company is based out of Ypsilanti.
