The Dearborn Heights police are investigating a homicide that occurred Wednesday morning on Hopkins Street off Beech Daly.
The homeowner discovered the body at the home about 11 a.m. Wednesday. Police are not releasing information about the victim or the suspect and there is no one in custody at this time.
Sources tells FOX 2's Ron Savage that this was drug related. The suspect fled the house on foot and is said to have run to a house on Lehigh Street in Inkster.
Police are waiting on a search warrant before entering that home. They have a SWAT tank on the scene waiting.
