DEARBORN, Mich. (WJBK) - Neighbors in Dearborn are still waiting to learn why the FBI raided a home on Jonathan Street Thursday night.
Authorities were at the home in the 7200 block of Jonathon Street, which is near Warren Avenue and Schaefer Road, for several hours investigating.
The raid was described to FOX 2 as a "law enforcement operation" and authorities say there was no threat to the public. The scene was cleared late Thursday evening.
No other details are available at this time what led to the raid. A source tells FOX 2 the raid had to do with national security.
Neighbors who spokes with FOX 2 off camera tell us they saw several boxes being taken from the home, but it's not clear what was inside. Neighbors also tell us a couple, two children and two elderly adults moved into the home about a month ago and they are from Lebanon. Neighbors say the family was nice and they never had any problems with them, so the raid came as a surprise.
Stay with FOX 2 for more information as it becomes available.
