Four armed robberies in 70 minutes on Detroit's east and west side

(Detroit News) Detroit Police are searching for multiple suspects involved in four armed robberies early Saturday scattering the city's east and west side. 

The incidents occurred between 12:20 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. Saturday with suspects in a dark Jeep Liberty. The robberies left one victim shot three times in the right leg and two times in the left leg, another victim assaulted and two unharmed. 

Masked suspects robbed a 36-year-old male at Holcomb and Gratiot Avenue at 12:20 a.m. The victim had exited the bus when a black Jeep occupied by four males approached. Two exited the vehicle and began assaulting the victim while the other two remained in the vehicle he told police.

The victim was robbed of his money, Bridge card, microphone speaker and fled eastbound on Gratiot from Holcomb. 

At 1:05 a.m., a 29-year-old victim was robbed of his cell phone, handgun and jacket on Chapin and Cooper Street. The victim noted three armed suspects approached him while he was walking and fled eastbound on Chapin in a dark Jeep. He was unharmed. 

The third report of the night was taken at 1:25 a.m. on Nottingham and Wade Street where a 31-year-old male victim was robbed at gunpoint by two suspects. The victim told police two suspects exited a parked Jeep. He was approached by one masked man with a semi-automated handgun who took an undisclosed amount of cash and was left unharmed.

In the final report, a 23-year-old male victim was walking at 1:30 a.m. on West 7 Mile and Twain Street when he was approached by one masked man who stole his cash and fled.

Police said the victim was shot three times in the right leg and two times in the left leg. He went to his girlfriend's house for help and was privately taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. 

Police say the perpetrators in all four robberies were wearing dark clothing with ski masks and in three instances driving a dark-colored Jeep Liberty.
