Free Uber rides available for New Year's Eve rides in Metro Detroit -- Here's how to get one
DETROIT (FOX 2) - The Mike Morse Law Firm is once again helping keep drunk drivers off the road this New Year's Eve by offering free Uber vouchers that can be used the night of the holiday.
Beginning Dec. 26, vouchers can be claimed for up to $20 off rides in the Metro Detroit area between 5 p.m. Dec. 31 and 5 a.m. Jan. 1, 2025.
There are 1,000 vouchers available, and you must be at least 21 years old to receive one.
Once claimed, the voucher is added to your Uber account and will be used as the payment method on a ride taken during the NYE time period.
According to the law firm, the area where vouchers can be used includes Lapeer County, Livingston County, Macomb County, Monroe County, Oakland County, St. Clair County, Washtenaw County, and Wayne County.
"By offering complimentary Uber rides, we hope to reduce the number of accidents and injuries on our roads during this festive time," attorney Mike Morse said. "We want to ensure everyone has a safe and happy start to the New Year and this small gesture will make a big impact."
Once a voucher is claimed, it will automatically be added to your Uber account.
