Funeral Arrangements for the late Gil Hill have been set.
Hill the former Detroit city council president, former homicide inspector and sometime actor, passed away at 84 on Monday.
Hill gained nationwide notoriety for his role as short-fused Inspector Doug Todd in the "Beverly Hills Cop" movie franchise starring Eddie Murphy.
The funeral is set for March 12 at noon with family hour at 11 a.m. at St. Phillips Lutheran Church, 2884 E. Grand Blvd, in Detroit.
Interment will be at Trinity Cemetery in Detroit.
Public viewing will be held at the Swanson Funeral Home, 14751 W. McNichols Road in Detroit on Thursday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
