DETROIT (FOX 2) - Part of a human body was discovered in the basement of a house on Detroit's west side Wednesday.
Detroit police said the human torso was small in size, and was found by a homeowner doing renovations inside at the property in the 16000 block of Tracey on the city's west side.
The discovery was found in the basement near a bar area, decomposed and missing its head, arms and legs. The gender has not been confirmed, Detroit police say.
It has been sent to the Wayne County Medical Examiner's for further examination.
The Detroit police homicide unit is investigating the discovery.
