A judge has denied the Oxford High School shooter’s motion to withdrawal his plea and his motion for resentencing.

On Thursday, Judge Kwamé Rowe issued two decisions denying motions filed by the shooter.

His first opinion and order, Rowe denied the shooter's motion to withdraw his guilty plea. In his second opinion, Rowe denied his motion for resentencing.

"The Court finds that Defendant’s plea was knowingly, voluntarily, and accurately given and there was no defect in the plea-taking process," Rowe said. "The Court finds that Defendant’s sentence is constitutional and proportionate to the seriousness of the offense and the offender."

In 2021, the then-15-year-old shot and killed four of his classmates; Madisyn Baldwin, Tate Myre, Justin Shilling and Hana St. Juliana, in a school shooting that shook the Oxford community and Metro Detroit to its core.

He was charged with 24 counts, including Terrorism Causing Death, four counts of First-Degree Premeditated Murder, seven counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, and 12 counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.

Ethan Crumbley pleaded guilty as charged in 2022.

Rowe sentenced him to life without the possibility of parole on Dec. 8, 2023.
