Kwame Kilpatrick to return to Detroit for hearing to overturn sentence

Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is scheduled to return to Detroit for a hearing for his motion to overturn his sentence.

Appearing before U.S. District Judge Nancy G. Edmunds, Kilpatrick is attempting to prove there is no evidence he was part of a pay-to-play scheme.

He's serving a 28-year sentence in El Reno, OK., found guilty in 2013 on two dozen charges, including bribery and tax evasion.
