LAS VEGAS (FOX 13) - It has been one week since the Las Vegas massacre, and the strip commemorated the victims.
The marquees on the businesses along the Las Vegas strip, and in other parts of the city, went dark at 5:08 a.m. on Monday as a silent tribute to the 58 people who were killed.
The lights remained out for 11 minutes. In all, 60 businesses turned off their marquees and dimmed other lights to honor the victims.
Police said 64-year-old Stephen Paddock opened fire on people attending a country music concert from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Authorities said they don’t know what motivated Paddock to carry out the massacre.
