In this installment of Let It Rip Weekends, Fox 2's Maurielle Lue and Charlie Langton tackle the problems surrounding the Detroit Public Schools sickouts, and the lack of diversity at the Oscars.

Joining them to discuss the problems surrounding DPS is Tawnny Cook and Mayowa Reynolds. Tawnny is a mother of DPS students, and claims the recent rash of sickouts caused her to lose her job. Mayowa is not just a parent to DPS students, she is also a teacher in the Detroit Public school system.

Speaking with Maurielle and Charlie on the lack of diversity at the Oscars is Fox 2 Entertainment Reporter Lee Thomas, local filmmaker Sam Logan Khaleghi, and director of Detroit Unleaded, Rola Nashef.
