The pro football coaching carousel is heating up - and Lions defensive coordinators Aaron Glenn and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson in the thick of it.

Johnson and Glenn have already interviewed for open coaching positions and are scheduled for even more this weekend, according to published reports,

The Patriots announced that they have completed an interview with Johnson for their vacant head coaching position on Friday. Glenn was interviewd by the New Orleans Saints today.

Johnson is set to interview with three other teams in the coming days. He is scheduled to talk to the Raiders also today and then has interviews with the Jaguars and Bears on Saturday.

Glenn has already interviewed with the New York Jets and is scheduled to talk to the Jaguars in the next couple days.

Other teams requesting meetings with Glenn are the Patriots, Bears and Raiders.

Both coordinators have the advantage of no game to prepare for this weekend,  thanks to the Lions' first-round bye this week.

On Tuesday's meeting with the media, Lions Coach Dan Campbell brought this fact up. While praising the defensive performance against the Vikings in Week 18, he spoke about Glenn's stock as a head coach candidate.

"Aaron Glenn is as good a coach as you're going to find and he's an even better human being," Campbell said. "Look if nobody wants him I'll take him again. The thought of gong through another cycle and he's not somebody's head coach is ridiculous.

"I don't want to lose him but I root for him because he's a hell of a coach."
