The murder conviction carries a mandatory life sentence with no possibility of parole.
Scrivo, 61, spoke at her sentencing. She cried at times and maintained that a stranger killed her son Ramsey and forced her to help dispose of the body parts.
"No one can know what you would do in the situation I was in," Scrivo said. "With a gun pointed to my head multiple times."
Scrivo filed a missing person's report in January, 2014. She told police her 32-year-old son left their St. Clair Shores home and didn't return.
Bags containing his body parts were found a few days later in St. Clair County.
