Man, 3-year-old girl stuck by car on Grand River in Redford
REDFORD TWP., Mich. - A man and 3-year-old girl were struck by a car on Grand River near Beech Daly Wednesday in Redford Township.
At about 5:30 p.m. a group of four people were crossing the street when the girl ran out on her own. A 21-year-old Detroit man ran after her when both were hit by a Lincoln MKS in the left lane.
The 3-year-old Redford girl is in critical condition and the man, in stable condition.
The driver of the car, a 31-year-old Northville man, stopped at the scene and is cooperating with police. Police say neither drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, which is still under investigation.
No names are being released by police at this time.
