DETROIT (WJBK) - Detroit police say that drug use may have caused a car crash near in Midtown Tuesday night.
Police say a 70-year-old man was driving and smoking crack when he had a heart attack and crashed into a concrete wall.
He survived and he's now at the hospital.
Police say he still had the crack pipe in his hand when he was pulled out of the vehicle by first responders.
The crash happened near John R and E Ferry streets, which is near the intersection of I-94 and I-75 and the Detroit Institute of Arts.
The extent of the man's injuries aren't known at this time.
