Man arrested for breaking into lockers at Planet Fitness
CLINTON TWP., Mich. (WJBK) - A 39-year-old man was arrested for stealing from a Planet Fitness in Mount Clemens.
Carl Danielson was stopped by Macomb County Sheriff Deputies on June 7 inside the location, after receiving a tip. Danielson was found to have bolt cutters and stolen items belonging to another gym member.
A Planet Fitness larceny report was first made to deputies on June 4 when one of the members at the Groesbeck location said his lock was cut off his locker and personal belongings, vehicle keys and items from inside his car were stolen.
Danielson was lodged at the Macomb County Jail and these reports were forwarded to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.
Two separate complaints were issued for Danielson with the following charges: two counts of larceny in a building, a four-year felony, one count of burglar's tools - possession, a 10-year felony, and one count of breaking and entering a vehicle to steal property less than $200.00 - a 93-day misdemeanor.
Danielson was arraigned on Friday in Clinton Township on the above charges. He was given a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to be back in court on June 20 for a probable cause conference.
