CLINTON TWP, Mich. (FOX 2) - A man was arraigned in court after allegedly holding a two-year-old boy at gunpoint in Clinton Township on Sunday.
What we know:
On Jan. 12, Macomb County prosecutors say 30-year-old Dalvin Devonte Brooks allegedly physically assaulted and pointed a gun at the mother of his child. It is then alleged that Brooks picked up their two-year-old son and held him at gun point as well.
That was when Clinton Township police arrived, where officials say Brooks barricaded himself in a bedroom of their apartment using his son as a human shield and pointing his gun at police.
Brooks eventually surrendered and was arrested.

What's next:
Brooks was arraigned in 41B Clinton Township District Court and had a bond set at $500,000.
A Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m.
"It is my duty to ensure the safety and well-being of all members of our community. The alleged actions of this individual are reprehensible. Such acts of violence are intolerable, and we will pursue justice to the fullest extent of the law to protect these victims and prevent further harm," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
