WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. (FOX 2) - A man died after he got caught in a tree chipper Monday in West Bloomfield.
Police said the man was working in a crew of three people on Champlain Circle near Middlebelt and Lone Pine roads around 9 a.m. when an unknown part of his body got stuck in the chipper.
The crew turned off the chipper and called 911. Officers who responded applied a tourniquet and the man was transported to a hospital. However, he died in the ambulance.
The accident is under investigation.
