Man falls in pit on way to buy lottery tickets
FORT WORTH, Tex. (WJBK) - Police in Texas say a man who was on his way to buy a lottery ticket encountered an unexpected problem: a pit.
Fort Worth Police saved the man on Monday. The 67-year-old left to go buy a lottery ticket and didn't come home after it got dark.
That's when the family got worried and called police.
An officer spotted a construction site in the area they were searching and took a look. In that site, there was a hole. That's where they found him. The pit was 7 feet deep and in the bottom of the hole, lying in cold water, was the man.
Police jumped down and helped get him out of the hole and back with his family.
