Man found shot to death in car in Detroit
DETROIT (WJBK) - Detroit Police say a man was found shot to death inside a car near the Brewster Homes in Detroit, which is near Brush Park.
Police said the victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside a red 2006 Dodge Charger Thursday morning. Police said the car was in the 500 block of Watson Street near I-75 and just south of Mack Ave.
Police said the man was found in the driver's seat with two gunshot wounds to the neck just after 7 a.m. Police believe he was there overnight and was shot sometime Wednesday evening.
Police are investigating and have not made any arrests. The victim's name has not been released but, according to a friend of the victim, his name is Willie Gardner and he recently got engaged to his girlfriend and is a father of three.
Neighbors are telling police they didn't see or anything suspicious.
Marijuana was also found in the car, but Gardner's family says he worked at a dispensary and often delivers marijuana.
