Man recovering after carbon monoxide poisoning that killed his coworker

Anthony Reid survived after breathing in carbon monoxide while working in a barn in Almont. One of his coworkers wasn't so lucky.

ALMONT, MICH (Fox 2) - Anthony Reid is lucky to be alive after suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning on Jan. 3.

Reid was found in a barn, having been there passed out for several hours, along with a coworker who had died from breathing in the fumes.

The other victim was Oleksii Lichykaki, a Ukranian immigrant, who was married with two sons. Lichykaki was living in Troy at the time of his death.

According to Reid and his family, there is a long road to full recovery.

Reid's family started a GoFundMe to help with medical expenses and bills while he recovers.
