Man sought after alleged sex assault at popular Pontiac nightclub
PONTIAC, Mich. (WJBK) - Authorities in Oakland County are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect after an incident at a nightclub in Pontiac.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says a 19-year-old woman from West Bloomfield Township was sexually assaulted at Elektricity this summer. The incident happened just after 3 a.m. on August 18, 2018.
Authorities say it happened by someone the victim only knew as "Mike," and that he made sexual advances toward her in a secluded area of the nightclub. After telling the subject "no" several times, the victim was pinned up against the wall by the suspect and was sexually assaulted.
Authorities say the woman left the nightclub immediately after, told her family and was taken to the hospital. A forensic examination kit is currently being tested for potential DNA.
Detectives are asking the public to help identify a suspect in this case. Based on the surveillance video and victim's description, it is believed the suspect is a Hispanic male approximately 20 years old in age. The victim had met "Mike" that evening and had no prior contact with him.
If the public can identify the suspect or has information regarding this incident, please call Crime Stoppers at (800) SPEAK-UP. There is a $1,000 reward and you will remain anonymous.
