Man struck and killed by car in Redford Township

REDFORD, Mich (FOX 2) - - A 62-year-old man was struck and killed while crossing southbound Telegraph in Redford Twp. 

Emergency responders pronounced the man dead at the scene. The driver involved remained on-site and is cooperating with investigators

Police confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs appear to have played a role in the incident. Authorities are investigating the possibility of a second vehicle being involved. 

Witnesses are asked to contact the Redford Township Police Traffic Bureau at 313-387-2541 if they have any information.

The deceased has been identified, but police are working to locate and notify the next of kin.
