A heartbreaking development from the couple who announced their pregnancy in an unconventional way – with the husband telling the wife they were expecting a child.
Sam Rader, 29, and wife Nia, 26, posted a video announcing the pregnancy on Wednesday, just days ago. The video soon went viral.
But now, four days after the happy news, the two have revealed that Nia has suffered a miscarriage and they’ve lost their baby.
The video has already garnered more than 734,000 views in just a few hours.
“Those of you who have experienced miscarriage before, I can relate now.”
She continued: “I just want to say, too, that maybe there's someone out there that's going through this with us.
“The Bible says to weep with those who weep and mourn with those who mourn, and I am mourning with those of you who are feeling this.”
“We were just so overjoyed… it was like a huge celebration and then it just - bam - it just hit us like a bomb,” Nia said tearfully, as Sam sat with his face in his palms.
Women usually break the news to their significant others when they find out they’re pregnant, but when a Texas man recently found out his wife was pregnant before she even knew, he managed to surprise her.
The man, a YouTube blogger named Sam, recorded and posted a nearly eight-minute video on Wednesday showing how he managed to pull off the surprise.
In the video, Sam goes into a bathroom at his home and says that he suspects his wife, Nia, might be pregnant.
He then adds a sample of Nia’s urine to a pregnancy test and is thrilled when he sees that the test results are positive.
He proceeds to tell Nia and the couple’s two children. Nia doesn’t believe him at first and thinks he’s joking, but when he tells her about the pregnancy test, she and the kids’ reactions are priceless.
