In February the City of Farmington Hills announced that the plans to redevelop the land that included Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum would move forward.

In the months since, fans of the arcade and pinball haven have been left wondering what would happen to the spectacle of a hangout.

On Dec. 9 the owners announced that they are closing the current location Jan. 5 and moving to a new location in West Bloomfield. The new location will be inside the Orchard Mall on the northeast corner of Orchard Lake Road.

In addition to a new location, the space is much larger. The current museum is about 5,300 square feet, while the new space is about 14,000 square feet.

"This will give us the opportunity to have a couple private party rooms for birthday parties and spread things out," the business said in a Facebook post.
