Men in paintball masks hold up Romulus bank

Police in Romulus and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery where two men demanded bank employees open up the vault to steal a large amount of cash.

Police say the bank robbery happened Wednesday at the Chase Bank on Middlebelt in Romulus. According to officials, the two suspects entered through the front door, one suspect hopped the counter while the other held employees at gunpoint. Two employees were forced to open the vault while a large amount of cash stolen.

Once they got the cash, police say they stole keys from an employee and drove off in a minivan that was in the parking lot.

They dumped the minivan near Farnam and Garner where officials say they got into a black Dodge Charger and drove south on Smith Road.

Both suspects are believed to be white men, around 5'10", wearing black hoodies, paintball masks, and gloves.
