Heaviest snow to fall tonght amid our Winter Storm Warning

Rich Luterman has the forecast.

A winter storm warning is in effect for Southeast Michigan Thursday.

FOX 2 will be live at 2 p.m. with coverage across Metro Detroit. The FOX 2 Weather Authority is covering the snow across the entire area. Watch the live stream in the player above and check back here for updates as the storm progresses.

Here's what to expect:

Snowfall will be heavy at times, and potential flash freezing is expected overnight as temperatures drop to about 10 degrees.

12 a.m. Friday

The snow will end around 12 a.m. Friday. When it's all said and done, the Metro Detroit area will get 4-8 inches, while areas north of that are expected to get 2-5 inches.
