DETROIT (FOX 2) - After initial opening tours of Michigan Central, the newly renovated building will be open for tours all summer.
Beginning Friday, June 21, guests can visit the former train depot from 5-9 p.m. on Fridays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays all summer. These tours are free, and no tickets are necessary.
Michigan Central opened with a star-studded concert on June 6, followed by 10 days of tours. It's the first time the public has gotten to see the inside of the building in person in six years.

Michigan Central in Detroit is reopening after decades of being abandoned and years of renovations by Ford. Take a look inside at the work done to the historic train depot that once saw upwards of 4,000 travelers a day.
When Ford purchased Michigan Central in 2018, crews immediately got to work renovating the long-abandoned train depot.
The project included pumping about 3.5 million gallons of water out of the building over the course of 18 months. The water was particularly challenging because it changed the coloring of some stone and plaster, damage that took numerous layers of paint over several weeks to hide.
Once the water was out, crews used photos and pieces of the depot that remained to recreate pieces that were destroyed. The goal was to return Michigan Central to what it looked like before it was left to rot in the late 1980s.
Michigan Central will now house Ford's autonomous vehicle teams.
