The Detroit Red Wings are moving out of the Joe Louis Arena and into a new arena in 2017. But not all fans are excited for the name of the arena, especially now that the Red Wings have lost Gordie Howe.

On Friday morning, Howe died after battling health issues. Now, some fans don't want to name the arena 'Little Caesers Arena', they want it to be named in honor of Mr. Hockey.

The Twitter account @GordieHoweArena first appeared on April 28 with a retweet leading to a change.org petition to try and convince the Ilitch family to change the name to the hockey legend. The petition has 2,100 supporters.

The Twitter account continued to tweet the links. On Friday, as news of Howe's death spread, the account tweeted even more about the legend and retweeted other Red Wings and hockey fans who support changing the name of the arena to honor Mr. Hockey.

The Ilitch family announced the new arena name on April 23 that promised to tout the world's largest 'Little Caesars Mascot' on the roof of the building.
