Multi-vehicle crash in Macomb Township leaves three hospitalized
MACOMB TOWNSHIP, Mich. (FOX 2) - A man is in critical condition and two others are recovering after a multi-car crash in Macomb Township.
Gas station security video captures the violent multi-car crash in Macomb Township that critically injured one man, and sent an Uber driver and their passenger to the hospital.
It happened on Hall Road near Heydenreich on Thursday afternoon. Macomb County investigators say the Uber, which was a white Chevy Bolt, was allegedly speeding when it slammed into the passenger side of a Ford Taurus as it turned into a shopping center.
The impact forced the Taurus into a white SUV.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office says the 55-year-old man driving the Taurus had to be hospitalized in critical condition.
The Uber driver, a 37-year-old man from Shelby Township and his passenger had minor injuries but were still taken to the hospital for treatment. The third driver was not hurt.
Cops say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this crash, but drivers say they've seen a whole host of factors that cause other crashes in this area, and they want the problem addressed.
