Mystery of who killed MSU student Darrin Wyatt in Detroit home continues

Crime Stoppers offering a $2,500 reward to help find a killer.

Two years ago 24-year-old Darrin Wyatt was asleep in his bedroom on the city's west side when somebody broke in. 

After he got up to see where the sound was coming from, he was shot and killed. 

"He's my hero, he's my guardian angel," said Lakita Wyatt, the victim's mother. "He was there to protect his family. because if you think about it, we might have been burying more than one."

"Please speak up, this is killing us," sad another relative. "Please help us, please help us. Please, thank you."

Wyatt was a graduate of Detroit Western International High School. He studied business management at Michigan State University and worked in logistics. 

He leaves behind three children.
