TAYLOR, Mich. (FOX 2) - The Michigan Army National Guard is hosting a career fair to help both soldiers and civilians looking for jobs.
This free event will include a resume and interviewing workshop with the University of Michigan from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, followed by the career fair 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 12450 Beech Daly Rd. in Taylor.
Attendees can meet with representatives from both employers and colleges. More than 40 employers, including LG Energy, Quicken Loans, Border Patrol, the University of Michigan, ML Excavating, Michigan State Police, and more. Some employers will be conducting on-the-spot interviews.
Door prizes will also be available, such as a football signed by Detroit Lions player Malcolm Rodriguez, sporting event tickets, and more.
The workshop and fair are open to everyone, not just members of the National Guard.
Though this event is free, attendees are asked to register, especially if they plan to attend the workshop because space is limited.
