Nicki Minaj assault warrant denied for insufficient evidence in Detroit case
DETROIT (FOX 2) - A request for a warrant by Detroit police in connection with an alleged assault by Nicki Minaj during her tour has been denied.
Police say on April 21, 2024, Minaj allegedly assaulted her former employee, 40-year-old Brandon Garrett at Little Caesars Arena during her concert tour.
Detroit police presented the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office with the warrant, but were denied because of what prosecutors say was insufficient evidence to prove that a crime happened.
Meanwhile, prosecutors say there has been a request to the Detroit Police Department for further investigation into the matter.
