NOVI, Mich. (WJBK) - A Novi police officer's car was struck by another car at Haggerty and Eight Mile Wednesday night.
The officer and a driver of a second car were transported to a nearby hospital. Police say early indications are that the driver of a Dodge Caliber turning from a westbound direction hit the police car, which had overhead lights on.
Police from Novi, Northville and Farmington Hills were at the scene and had the intersection closed.
Thursday morning, we're told the officer has released from the hospital. We're told the officer is very sore but has no significant injuries.
We're told the other driver involved also has non-life threatening injuries.
