One teen dead, another hurt in shooting overnight in Dearborn Heights

Police have a person of interest in custody after a teenager died in a shooting overnight in Dearborn Heights. Another was also hurt. 

Dearborn Heights police received a call around 1:40 a.m. about a shooting outside a home in the area of Beech Daly Road and Annapolis Street. A 16-year-old victim was then taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

While police were investigating they were informed a second person had also been shot and was already at the hospital, where they was eventually pronounced dead. Police say the victim is a 17-year-old from Inkster, but aren't giving his name. 

Police have taken a person of interest into custody but didn't give additional details. 

They haven't said yet why the shooting may have happened but at this time they do not believe it was random.
