WAYNE, Mich. (FOX 2) - A man died after he was struck by a train late Tuesday in Wayne.
Police said the 26-year-old Wayne man was hit near Winifred and E. Michigan Avenue just before midnight.
The road was closed for several hours while police investigated the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 734-721-1414.

Authorities investigating crash between train and pedestrian
A pedestrian was apparently hit by an Amtrak train early Wednesday morning in the city of Wayne. Law enforcement closed the area near Merriman and Michigan Avenue for several hours before reopening it around 5:30 a.m.
