Detroit police are looking for a man who brutally gunned down his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend.

Jaron Lucas says he watched from his home as his cousin was shot by a man he says was driving a black Buick.

"My cousin got into it with his girlfriend, she called her ex-boyfriend I guess, and started shooting at him," Lucas said.

Police say the shooting happened at about 5 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Jackson and Scotten.

Lucas says his cousin, 28-year-old Randy Mack, was standing at the corner arguing with his girlfriend, when the suspect pulled up, got out of the car, and pulled a gun.

"He shot him multiple times in the chest, while he was running, shot him in the back. He ended up running and collapsed over there by the gate," said Lucas.

Police say the victim was privately conveyed to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition. They have no description of the suspect at this time.
