Police arrest 2 in death of dismembered Detroit woman; 3rd suspect at large
During a press conference, police announced a 50-year-old man & 22-year-old man were being arraigned today for the murder of Rhonda Black. Black's body was found burned in a van in west Detroit almost two weeks ago. Watch the announcement in the YouTube player above. App users tap here to watch.
Police said the two men were arrested Tuesday and are expected in court later Wednesday. The charges have not been announced and their names have not been released.
Police said they're searching for a third man involved, 24-year-old Brandon Curtis Williams.
Davis, 20, was found in the van on April 3 and police say she had been shot and dismembered.
Rashon Cooper Black joined Roop Raj Wednesday morning to talk about the arrests. She said that the men responsible need to be accountable for what they did.
"You took her from me in such a terrible way, to where I was unable to give her a burial, the least you can do is take responsibility for the part that you played so me and my family can start the grieving process," Black said.
She also said her daughter was a victim of domestic abuse and urged any other women in the same situation to ask for help.
