SAGINAW, MIch. (FOX 2) - A fight and gunshots left two people dead and caused panic overnight during a large party in Saginaw.
Michigan State Police said more than 200 people were at the street party, which was not permitted, in the area of 4th and Johnson streets when gunshots were heard around midnight Saturday and people reported that shots were fired into the crowd. As people fled in their vehicles, several were injured.
Initial reports show that 15 people were shot, and a 19-year-old man and 51-year-old woman died.
At least five different caliber weapons were used.
Police said multiple agencies worked to break up the party in different locations on several occasions.
Police said there is no threat to the public.
