Police investigate possible murder suicide in St. Clair Shores

St. Clair Shores police is investigating a possible murder-suicide Thursday night.

An elderly woman was found dead inside a home in St. Clair Shores and are investigating the connection to a man's drowning earlier today in Lake St. Clair. 

There is an active police scene at 12 Mile and Greater Mack. Details are scarce but Michigan State Police tweeted it is helping the St. Clair Shores PD at a crime scene in the 22000 block of Greater Mack.

Neighbors say that an elderly couple lived the house where the older woman's body was discovered inside. The body of a man pulled from Lake St. Clair is connected to the gruesome discovery.

The car found at the scene of the drowning belonged to the address of the home where the dead woman was found.

Residents who knew them, are stunned.

"I feel for the family," said one man. "I am kind of shocked for the area. We don't usually see this around here."
