Police look for serial bank robber who hit four spots in two days

(WJBK) - Police in two counties are on the hunt for a serial bank robber. At least four banks have been hit in the last two days. 

Investigators say the suspect casually walked into the banks with a hooded sweatshirt and headed straight for the teller's window. Surveillance photos show exactly who police are looking for. The woman's description matches in four separate robberies. 

Her MO is to hand the teller a note demanding cash. Two of the tellers didn't see a weapon so they told the woman to get lost.

The spree started Wednesday afternoon at the Chase Bank at 12 Mile and Dequindre in Warren. The teller there was one who didn't see a weapon and denied the woman's demands. The suspect left without a hassle. 

Then, she allegedly showed up Thursday morning across town at the Vibe Credit Union in Sterling Heights - and got the same response from an employee. The unsuccessful robber left empty handed. 

It wasn't until she got to the Comerica Bank location in Macomb Township that her plan worked. She got away with a small amount of large bills.

Macomb County Sheriff authorities say she sped off in a silver car, then drove a half hour to Flagstar Bank right off busy Big Beaver Road in Troy. This time, police say she implied there was a weapon - but the teller didn't see one. She got away with more cash.

She's described as a black woman, possibly in her 40s. One witness said she was around 5 feet 1 inches tall. The FBI is stepping in to help local police agencies before she tries again.
