DETROIT (WJBK) - Detroit police are looking for the driver of a vehicle who crashed into a building on Detroit's west side.
Police say around 1:20 Saturday afternoon a car came plowing into a vacant restaurant, at the intersection of Linwood and Calvert, leaving it in tatters.
Neighbors say the building is a vacant restaurant. Several people who live in the area also say this is the second time this has happened.
"I do believe the people who ran into the building did not mean to. But still, someone else's property was destroyed adding more blight to this neighborhood," said Bethany Alexander, who was sitting on her porch when she says she saw the car slam into the building.
Police say no one was injured.
The person driving took off and witnesses say they saw an additional person running away.
DTE appears to have wrapped up their efforts for now.
Police believe the car that crashed is a gold colored Buick LaCrosse.
