Politicians react to SCOTUS ruling on Trump's immunity case

U.S. Representative Nancy Pelosi wrote on X, formerly Twitter, "The Supreme Court placed itself on trial with this decision – and its credibility has been further diminished in the eyes of all those who believe in the rule of law."
Congressman Hakeem Jeffries posted a statement on social media that read:
Senator Chuck Schumer reacted to the ruling saying, "This disgraceful decision by the MAGA SCOTUS—which is comprised of 3 justices appointed by Trump himself—enables the former President to weaken our democracy by breaking the law. It undermines SCOTUS's credibility and suggests political influence trumps all in our courts today."

Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett wrote "It is clear that no one is coming to save us! This Supreme Court is anything but SUPREME! I can’t believe the cultist consolidation of power that is taking place before our eyes; IN AMERICA! This most recent ruling, along with so many others, is dangerous as shit especially for a guy that says I’ll be your Retribution!"
"A guy that we know has no problems breaking the law was just told how to do it and face no consequences! He can order MURDER without consequence & his attorneys argued this! Trump has taken over the judiciary, he’s running the legislative branch, & the last move is to get back to the White House."
"If you aren’t frightened, you aren’t paying attention."
Donald Trump Jr. spoke out on the case by posting on social media, "Solid SCOTUS ruling today. I’m sure the corrupt prosecutors and DC judge will work overtime to continue their lawfare. It’s all they have left."
Congresswoman Lauren Boebert wrote on X, formerly Twitter, "The Supreme Court isn’t "protecting Trump". SCOTUS is simply ensuring the ruthless Biden admin follows the RULE OF LAW!"
Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder posted on X "Our democracy has been gravely wounded The Trump immunity decision says: a president CAN VIOLATE THE CRIMINAL LAW if he acts within his broadly defined "constitutional authority" Absurd and dangerous There is no basis in the Constitution for this Court constructed monstrosity"
Texas Congressman Ronny Jackson said "BIG WIN FROM SCOTUS!! President Trump said it best: if a president doesn’t have immunity, nothing can be accomplished in office. The RADICAL LEFT can no longer continue with their KANGAROO courts, and their BLATANT bending of the law for an administration they disagree with and a group of people they HATE. MAGA!!"
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita shared his thoughts, writing "BREAKING: SCOTUS has ruled in favor of@realDonaldTrump and says official acts as president are immune from prosecution. This is a HUGE win and our office was proud to partner with 18 states supporting this decision. It was common sense and will thankfully protect Trump from the partisan political prosecutions he was facing. This is a huge blow to the Left who continues to weaponize our judicial institutions against their political opponents. To protect our republic from these dangerous actions, we must never stop fighting back."
